I believe I was born loving horses. I have known since I was three that all I really wanted to do was to be around horses and draw pictures of them. 

Half a century later and that is still all I really want to do.

The "In Search of the Superlative Horse" series was born out of those desires. I want to create images of horses that were purely about the strength, grace, and agility of the horse. Painting that would open the your heart and make you remember why they take your breath away.

Each painting in this series is created on 22" x 30" 300 lb Saunders Waterford Watercolour paper using the finest watercolour paints, inks, graphite, and 23 karat gold leaf. Some of the paintings also include asian paper and acrylics lifts. All materials are archival.
